FEMINIST, MULTICULTURAL, INTERPERSONAL, AND
PERSON-CENTERED THERAPY
I focus on understanding your concerns deeply and look at the cultural context in which they have developed. I will collaborate with you to bring some relief to your symptoms, but we may also explore how therapy can help you examine your thoughts and feelings, gain insights about your distress and have interpersonal experiences that deepen your understanding of yourself, others and the world.
I acknowledge the intersections of our visible and invisible cultural identities (e.g., racial identity, sexual orientation, gender identity, body-ability). Sometimes, painful memories and feelings connected to traumatic experiences may emerge during treatment, in these moments my role as your therapist will always be to provide you with a safe and supportive space where you can start to heal from the past and build skills to live your best life today.
